Like many vegans and raw vegans that I know, I'm independent, stubborn, hard working, optimistic, a bit of a perfectionist, yet question much of main-stream thinking. I see the glass half full and believe there is a way to get it done if we can think outside the box and put forth the effort needed. Though it seems we're surrounded by people with herd mentality, I do my best to resist and stay the course I set, which is often in another direction. One book that seems to have had an effect on me lately is "The Power of Now", which basically is about harnessing our best potential at this very moment and not letting the past or the future stand in the way. I find that focusing energy into the "now" is not always easy, but well worth the effort. It requires throwing off false self-identities and looking deeper inside for the answer. I know without a doubt that the raw vegan diet is the best diet for us all (other than a wild raw vegan diet) and I'm hopeful that someday much of the world will come to this understanding as well. Until then, I'm going to try to enjoy living life as much as I can, and help others do the same. For fun, I can be much more main-stream. I enjoy playing golf in the summer with my brother-in-law, tennis is something I've recently taken up, I run, exercise, snow ski when I can, love watching good movies, hiking, reading, and listening to music on Pandora. I'm flexible. I've never jumped out of an airplane or gone up in a hot air balloon, but would be open to it. I also enjoy supporting local organic farmers, experimenting with raw vegan recipes and sharing them at potlucks with like-minded people. I like working around the house, fixing things, and I can be very romantic. All I seem to need is the right person to share "now" moments with. Maybe, just maybe, it could be the beginning of many very special moments shared.

I am an artist (glass blowing mainly, some painting, some jewelery), musician (guitar and piano) and nature lover. One thing I will say about me as an artist and musician is I do these mostly in a selfish, personal, meditative way; which is to say that I haven't performed much for groups, or sell my paintings though I do sell my glass art when I have a studio to work. I like to share my poetry. I love quirky songs and some may describe me as quirky. I am very responsible too. I like poi, disc golf, anything that involves the water, juggling, puzzles, playing w/children, listening to elders, and writing really long descriptions about myself for internet sites. My style is natural beauty (complete rejection of vanity). My physical is unchanged from the way nature has meant for me to look. I don't use razors or scissors. Natural dreadlocks have formed graciously and by no effort on my part. My spiritual quest is ever unfolding as my education of history continues. I do find info about natural ways to enhance perceptions very interesting but am very reserved with taking part. I love to play, dance, tai chi, sing, books, movies, rightful living, glean, hatha, sex, the outdoors, preparing food, garden, being with like minds, family, morning walks, talking one on one, and most of all- intimacy with a true love; be it a touch, a gaze, making love, a nuzzle, a smile, that look, or anything that communicates I to her and her to I. Having good company I'm happy to be stay home or travel. I sleep on a bamboo mat and natural fiber blankets because I now see that plastic mattresses are unsustainable luxury items and likely not very healthy or clean. Natural flooring; there is no going back to plastic or wool carpet or rugs for me. I have many skills. I like to walk or bike for many things here in town and drive a '76 vw bus. Now in 2011 I am living in Yellow Springs, Ohio where I am getting connected in a real nice community. I love the Glen Helen nature preserve for hiking and I frequent the grateful dead/ bearlike coffee shop here in town. I'm looking to host a potluck for vegans and raw foodies alike. I was attracted to this town to be closer to the Friend's meeting house as I have attended Quaker meeting regularly for 2 years now. You can think of me as either a Renaissance Man or a Swiss Army Knife of a man. Either one works. I put my creative side to work drawing, painting, gardening, designing and renovating a house. Financially secure and responsible, a sense of purpuse and seeking noble things drive me more than a desire for money and I am not in "the race to get the most stuff".
Laid back, low maintenance, I'm not fat, nor bony, am built in the warm months, and have been told several times (even by women other than my mother) that I'm handsome. You'll have to decide for yourself when we meet...

I am very active as an animal rights, environmental and peace activist. Very progressive in my politics (except for a certain few issues). Political junky who has to have her (large) dose of C-SPAN every day.
I presently have six cats but intend to adopt more since I used to have 11 and I know that there are so many out there who need a good home. (Two of my cats are named Pauly Wellstone and Sheila Wellstone after Paul and Sheila Wellstone.) I hope to some day have a yard large enough that I can also adopt at least two dogs.
Progressive politics, veganism, animals and the environment are what keep me going!
I am very healthy but would like to start an exercise program again and really get back into shape. I am unfortunately a very sloppy housekeeper. That's why I would love to meet someone who is a lot neater than I am, someone who would help me to get organized.

I'm only 19 years old...I went to BGSU for a year but left to work and then go to SCC in the spring of 2014. I'm very good with languages but I'm not sure what I want to do for a career.
I was vegan for a year but at BGSU I went to back to being vegetarian for the 6 months I was there because on the student meal plan there were not enough vegan options unless I wanted to be malnourished.
