I'm a vegan with about 75% raw vegan. 25 years ago I thought most people would be vegetarian by now. Instead, there seem to be even fewer vegetarians these days, even with all the information out there supporting the choice. I like to have fun out in the world but also being a "homebody" sometimes too. I love the mountains, forests and animals. My favorite place to be is in a thick evergreen forest.. So far I prefer home equipment over going to a gym but that might depend on having an exercise partner or not. I like to do a lot of different things, even if not that often such as bowling, miniature golf, skating, hiking, skiing. I'm also into astronomy, architecture and going to home shows. I have traveled a few different spiritual paths along the way but now am into pantheism (reverence to the universe). I would prefer a partner that I can converse about spirituality or God - even if we are not on the same path. I do not like politics, nothing spiritual about that. Most politicians are corrupt regardless of the D or R party. I believe in the Constitution as-is. I am conservative (but not Republican...to me, there is a difference these days). Talents in dance, music, art, massage, philosophical thinking... Eclectic re film, TV and music. I do not like the film genre: horror. In theory, I practice presence / mindfulness and try to avoid speaking through ego. In reality, I'm outwardly a normal human being, totally not perfect, and I have my unconscious moments, too. I just don't see myself loving someone who doesn't care about killing / eating animals. For many of us, being a veggie is so much more than simply a diet. I'm a former airline pilot changing careers (not by choice). My highly profitable airline was bought out, suddenly unexpectedly closed, the airline pilot retirement age was raised from 60 to 65 (no attrition for five years), and the economy was horrible. I sure miss flying the Boeing 727...the feeling of 48,000 pounds of thrust at my fingertips is difficult to duplicate! The beauty of the Earth from above is so breathtaking. A scratch in my eye from a brand new contact lens has cost me the career I so enjoyed. I went back to school and obtained my LPN, but have not used it yet due to a number of family tragedies. I had been taking care of my vegan Mom full time. Congestive heart failure is no fun. She fought a valiant battle, but is no longer with me. Now I am working on getting my house ready for sale to move into my parents (a few acres and a swimming pool). I love music - tastes range from classical to oldies (Sinatra) to alternative, but I especially enjoy acoustic Latin / Mediterranean guitar. Hammocks - such a simple invention, but so relaxing! Canoeing, boating, bicycling, experiencing nature, tennis, or even throwing a Frisbee are all fun fair weather activities. Based on my profile, you probably wouldn't guess I love to laugh, and joke around often. Sometimes my delivery is too dry for people to realize I'm joking...love watching the five second delay as someone gets it! Living a principled life of meaning, purpose, simplicity, and growth is my goal. Originally from New Jersey, I went to college (Pomona) and beyond in southern California but have spent most of my adult life in southern Arizona. I look for ways to help others, but, whatever I do, I try to avoid self-serving feelings like self-validation and pride. With my scientific background, I'm mostly a left-brained person, but I try to exercise the right half as well, although I fall a little short of being a polymath. I appreciate the contribution of art to life and especially the creativity behind it, although I like to view it not just for its aesthetic beauty but also as an extension of the person behind it. Jewish ethical values (which are mostly universal in nature) and teachings inform and guide me in all aspects of living -- including diet! I've been vegan for 35 years. I don't engage in social media, which I feel is harmful to society and unbecoming, and try hard not to let technology control my life. I've striven to bring Jewish medicine and the values it represents to the world via the eponymous website. In essence, it's a philosophy that regards medicine as a sacred vocation whose practitioners view their work as a calling, shunning any motivation that smacks of "what's in it for me?" The goal is to make the world safe not for democracy but for medical ethical meritocracy and, thereby, for patients. Ethical vegan, atheist, liberal , ARA whenever possible , a latin but have been away from my south american culture for more than half of my life. I have 2 rescued dogs and 3 cats , but they have more than enough room to live in, get air , sunshine and they are spoiled too ! i am an atheist, realistic , have strong opinions and prefer to address issues to get it out of my mind, i am as transparent as possible, I will do better with an ethical vegan, atheist, hippie, activist, I like tattoos but don't have any lol, I am not spiritual either so alI the stuff about,if you think negative you attract bad luck, bad karma etc, not my thing either ! I prefer to simplify, but life is not always simple, so some things are hard to simplify. I get it; I would say, for my age, I am in pretty good shape which works for me! I am not into adrenaline causing activities or into a lot of traveling either, and with the pets I prefer to be near home or do road trips, air B /B type of going away etc. hippie music festivals outside, veggie fests, etc. to sum it up : I am a very content person, and would like to add a partner to my already pleasant life if there is a lot of trust and sparks.

Life is so much richer sharing experiences with that special someone than being alone.
