| I became vegetarian and later vegan after reading the books of Peter Singer and Tom Regan. I am very much in favour of animal rights, which means I advocate not the regulation, but the abolition of all animal-exploiting industries. Regan was a huge intellect and idol to me, as his writings helped me clarify some ethical intuitions which I was previously unable to articulate. |

| I'm a private and introverted person. I prefer to spend my time alone, with family or small groups of close friends. Not into larger social gatherings. I live a fairly modest life. I don't appreciate (economic) materialism, fame or snobbery. I am not remotely interested in impressing others...except for lovely vegan girls. :) Although I did quite technical and profitable work in the past, I now work a menial job that pays the bills, spend more time with family and study a subject which is of great interest to me. Basically, I don't let others dictate to me what is important in life and how one attains success and respect. I can decide for myself. I enjoy reading (philosophy, fiction), watching films (drama, art house, documentaries), solving puzzles and listening to music. I love rock music (Pink Floyd, Queen, Yes, Muse), metal and classical. I appreciate most styles other than pop, rap, electronica, country and opera. I loathe television! |
