| I’m a vegetarian for both religions and moral reasons. My religion believes that all living things are sacred, therefore the consumption of meat is forbidden. Morally I believe that no animal deserves to be put through pain for my sake, and food giving animals deserve our respect. When buying dairy I always try to buy grass fed or pasture raised products, or I buy the vegan option. |
| More About Me |
| I obtained my Undergrad degree from the University of Michigan Ann Arbor in International Studies and my Masters in History from Fort Hays State University. Upon taking a temporary job while working on my masters as a reading tutor, I realized how much I loved teaching, and am currently working on a teaching certificate for secondary social studies. I am hoping to be a middle or high school social studies teacher. I currently work as a day substitute teacher in East Jordan Michigan and also tutor Dyslexic kids in Alba school. I am planning to get a certification in Dyslexia tutoring this fall. I am an animal lover and also love working with kids! Another big passion of mine is learning about foreign cultures and languages. I am very active on Duolingo, and like to cook foods from around the world. I’ve always wanted to travel to different countries and have an enormous bucket list of places I want to visit. I do identify as neurodivergent, and can be overwhelmed by large crowds and noises. My favorite type of music is Rock from the 1960’s and 1970’s, although I enjoy a lot of different music, including the band 21 pilots. I play the flute in a local community band and also play guitar. Some of my other hobbies include archery, swimming, bicycle riding, yoga, dance videos, Kenpo karate, video games, Dungeons and Dragons,reading, hiking in the woods, writing, gardening, and snow shoeing. Some of my favorite shows and movies are Fullmetal Alchemist, Hetalia, Doctor Who, Steven Universe, Avatar the Last Airbender, Bleach, courage the cowardly dog, Lord of the Rings, Empreror’s New Groove, Coraline, Spirited Away, Princess Mononoke ,Lilo and Stitch and the Lion King. Three of my favorite musicals are Cats, Epic the Musical and Les Miserables. My favorite author is Paulo Coehlo, although I also like JRR Tolkien. I also volunteer for Be SMART, an organization dedicated to Educating adults on responsible gun ownership to help keep kids safe from gun violence, and does work with suicide prevention as well. This cause is very close to my heart since I really like all the kids I work with and want them to be safe. |

| Someone who is also passionate about kids, wildlife, and travel. Someone with an open mind who is willing to try new things, both in terms of activities and foods. I am also interested in someone who is also interested in activism who would work with me in my volunteer work. Spending time in nature is also important to me, and I would love to be with someone who enjoys this as well. The arts is also something I enjoy, so I would love to meet a fellow at enthusiast.
