| I’m a British transplant whose friends describe me as compassionate, passionate, intelligent, funny and loyal. I moved to Southern California from London when I was 17 but still have family and childhood friends there. My English background has provided me with excellent manners, an appreciation of good tea and I'm always on time! One of my favorite places in San Diego is Balboa Park since I miss the great parks in London. Animal welfare is my passion and I volunteer regularly for various things. I have two cats and all my animals are rescues. I love dogs though don’t have one right now. Helping others puts life into perspective. I am a social worker. I was a foster parent for a year to a toddler aged boy, which took a lot of strength and perseverance and I love children. I still see my foster son who is now almost 12 I am open to new activities though don't feel the need to be on the go all the time. I like my downtime too, to relax and regroup. Another favorite activity is eating out and I am always open for a new culinary experiences. Indian and Thai are big favorites. Growing up in the UK and vacationing in other parts of Europe, I love to travel. Anything arts-related grabs my attention including museums, theater, art or craft show. I like to read, mostly non fiction but do enjoy historical fiction. I really enjoy movies too, and TV. Mostly the English shows on PBS. I love music including alternative, classic rock and some harder rock. It all inspires. I am very thoughtful and caring, will help you when you would like my help, support you and share lots of affection. |
