| while i was in college i noticed in my physiology classes that my standard american diet (SAD) was not real good for my body parts. i had always been an animal lover and a believer that protecting the environment was important so i decided to begin eating less meat. by the time i was thirty i was a vegetarian and there was no looking back. |

| GEOGRAPHICAL: North Dakota kid who has been thoroughly and irredeemably Chicagoified. Well-travelled but not world-weary. Willing to go anywhere w/good food and a steady supply of cool water. EMOTIONAL: Even-tempered, basically happy despite the state of affairs today. I enjoy spending the evening cooking scrumptious food and eating it. I enjoy card games like bridge, pinochle and cribbage. PHYSICAL: Strong athletic build (i play a mean game of volleyball...indoor or beach). I sport all major appendages, and am always willing to try any physical activity as long as it’s with the understanding that the score is secondary to the game. I enjoy pedaling and am a good golf and tennis player. SOCIAL.Today, I’m just as happy at a pub as at a formal event, provided that I’m with interesting, open-minded people. If provoked, I will cook without warning. I love long walks, especially when taken by people who annoy me. I also love concerts,museums,and the whole laundry list of stuff everyone else loves to do in Chicago (really)! I tend to sing in the shower. | i am looking for a good woman who likes life and herself. she needs to not smoke and care about animals and the earth. i stay in good shape and would like her to also enjoy physicality and eating low of the food chain. today i attended the saturday morning yoga in the Park at Millenium. i dropped my mat on the left side under the shade trees halfway back and thoroughly enjoyed the wonderful yoga instruction. i will see how many yoga in the parks i can attend on Saturday mornings this summer. i enjoy playing cribbage and bridge card games. i am a patient teacher. i play bridge with friends on fridays at the Womens park in the south Loop. |
