| Why I'm Vegan |
| Gave up meat gradually many years ago having managed for a week’s holiday with friends who had ‘gone veggie’; the more I found out the more I gave up - this hastened by animal cruelty leaflets from a stall. Further on, I realised the cruelty involved to calves of humans drinking cow’s milk and gradually went vegan. Maybe inevitable I'd turn out this way - always been compassionate. I will never knowingly eat meat products again and v. little non-vegan stuff gets by me. The practice of others eating meat / dairy / eggs has become to me a curious phenomenon. |

| Vegan woman of integrity, Dorset coast,(adult kids). Sensible, purposeful, a mixture of a free spirit, yet responsible. I eat vegan mainly organic wholefood, live a cruelty-free life. I work hard, but with the right person would redress the balance to make more time for you. I try to grow veg. I like music, especially live, quite a range. Always v partial to John Martyn and Bob Marley. My liking for other artists keep changing - if it's got great words that helps. I can play the piano. N/S, not religious. I like Desert Island Discs and the Now Show and The Listening Project on Radio 4. Not into shopping, make up, commercialism e.g. Xmas. I appreciate football and cricket. An ideal day out would be with a man I really got on with, a walk somewhere stunning e.g. along a granite stream in a wood, then an organic vegan meal. (Oh, PS to another section – my French & German are both rather rusty and I've taught myself a tiny bit of Italian, would like to learn more. and my hair though still predominantly dark brown, now has some white: I like it!) |

| A good vegan man, sound, caring, purposeful, intelligent, tolerant, at ease, optimistic, who knows what makes people tick and who does not carry emotional baggage. (As local as possible = ideal!) I'd probably prefer someone who is a father. Someone who has not wrecked his body. Not religious (not 'anti God' or consistently atheistic at every moment of every day, but am v down to earth, not into faiths, more humanitarian.) I'm not into tattoos. P.S. I'd need to see your photo, when you send me a message, ta. There - not a lot to ask! ..... Plus: I'd like to find some more good local female vegan friends, too. This sounds like an afterthought, and when I first wrote it, maybe it was; but I am realising that I'd really appreciate the company and fellowship of any (relatively local) fellow vegan women who think like me. |
