| In the late 60's I read a book by Arnold Ehret that lead me on a lifetime of exploration in diet which now consists of mostly raw produce. The raising of animals for food is one of the most environmentally destructive industries on earth and has been throughout history. The consumption of meat is entirely unnecessary for good health. Meat consumption creates aggression and violence in social activity. That being said, social situations sometimes requires avoiding my beliefs; we just had a duck dinner with my parents on our last visit. We also eat little salmon a couple of times a month(it helps with explaining our diet to skeptical friends and it's said fish-oil is good for you.) |

| Artist/ecologist/builder, jack of all trades, single parent of 12 year old daughter, Willow, living back in California after 15 years on the water in South-East Asia. Living a life of adventure, art and education. Involved in one of the most interesting and rewarding experiences of a lifetime, raising Willow. We're now settled on a nice piece of land north of San Francisco but it doesn't belong to us and eventually we hope to have land of our own or that we can share with a compatible community and you. Help us find that community. Some might call me an old hippy and, though this is just a media word, I try to live up to the better values of the late 60's that evolved into the environmental movement, feminism, anti-globalism, anti-militarism, etc. and am as much of an activist as I can be as a single-parent in a rural setting still- I try to keep our act as clean as we can as far as the environment, politics, etc. go. Though I might have but a high school diploma, my education goes far beyond and will never end: Cal Poly, SJ Delta JC, 2 yrs at UC Berkeley in architecture, art and design, San Francisco Art Institute, back to UC after years of sailing and global travel where I audited classes for 5 more years in many fields I wanted to understand better(mostly dealing with the environment and our place in it and social issues), was a student and teacher at Fiberworks Center for the Textile Arts, Merritt Collage in Horticulture, and more . I've attempted businesses and marriages, bought a house in Berkeley while working on an art career, working in the East Bay Regional Parks. Got involved in the early years of the Permaculture movement in California which lead me to China to Build a vessel to spread the concepts of sustainable agriculture and appropriate technology in South East Asia and the Pacific; Did some work with this in Hong Kong as part of Permaculture Asia Ltd. where I also became the Traditional Chinese Maritime Technology Institute. Too many long stories. Anyway, I'm over educated, under appreciated and looking to start a new adventure in life with YOU and Willow. I work with my hands and head in nature but need help dealing with people, social life and money. Oh, and as sex is part of nature, I'm passionate about that too. |
