| I'm vegan, proud of it. Been vegetarian since 1993, vegan since 2007. I don't eat animals period. Plant-based life is the ideal path in life for me. I am vegan primarily for plant-based health, and secondarily for ethical reasons. My military medical background has helped me to understand the benefits of a plant-based diet, and the results are obvious: no meds, and ideal weight. |

| American male: French, Scot, German, Native American heritage; rational, freethinking, mature and worldly; Vietnam War veteran; 23 years in the Far East; Mandarin-speaking; teacher; broad experience and many interests. I used to ride road bikes until I broke my leg in 2010. I love walking around town daily now. Hiking in parks on trails is cool too. I'm not the big sports jock. I could not care who wins the World Series, though I would support local teams. My big sports event is the Tour de France -- three weeks in the summer.
