| I turned vegan in 1996 after a drunken butcher came to talk to me and described his work in every gory detail. There was just no way I could face myself if I'd continue to fund such cruelty. Later the environmental reasoning has given further boost to it, but animal rights remain my primary reason. |

| I'm a vegan Finn who found his vegan Vietnamese wife right here in VeggieConnection! :-) We moved to Singapore a few years ago and would love to have great friends locally to hang out with. Other couples, single people, anything and anyone, but fun people with similar interests to hang out with. We both love: * Travelling and exploring new places. City breaks, beaches, mountaneous places, anything really. * Trying new (to us) veggie restaurants * Walks in nature and riversides * Rollerskating at East Coast Park * Cycling * Learning to play the guzheng * Cooking (mostly Vietnamese and other Asian food) * Some form of dancing (more about it below) * Sailing, swimming, snorkeling... water sports in general. We're both licensed keel boat crew. Beside that, I'm into: * Working out, gym almost daily * Running (doing half-marathons all the time, full ones only on occasion) * Tango... it's been a few years though * Other types of dances will do too, but particularly ballroom * Reading (particularly historical fiction) * Learning to play the dizi (Chinese bamboo flute) And my wife: * Guzheng -- yes, we're both learning, but she's more into it * Hanging out with friends, caf̀̀és * Club type of dancing * Ikebana (Japanese flower arrangement) * Self-improvement * Volunteer work * Yoga |
