| Why I'm Vegan |
| I have been veggie for 40 years and fully vegan for 15. Making the progression to vegan was a long hard road because I used to love cheese in all its wonderful varieties but in the end it had to be done. Treating animals as commodities is immoral. Eating animal products harms both the person and the environment - not to mention the animal! |

| I enjoy music, photography, countryside, walking, art, antiques, cats, canal boating. Favourite music: a wide range from classical to rock and jazz. I often enjoy music that challenges me a little and I don't get on very well with bland pop and middle-of-the-road. Favourite places: Anywhere where there's water. The Kerry coast, Cornish cliffs, the Grand Canal in Venice, Lake Tahoe. I prefer a peaceful country life but don't mind the excitement of a vibrant city from time to time (favourite cities Venice, San Francisco, Cologne). I've had a number of careers including civil servant, photographer, journalist and for the last 35 years software developer. I'm now largely retired and spend my time creating music, making films, taking photographs and renovating my house (see below). I'm heavily involved in local arts projects. I moved to Yorkshire a few years ago with a plan to complete one last house renovation job before I get too old for it. I've been so wrapped up in the wonderfully rich and varied artistic life in the area that I only started at the beginning of 2020. |

| I'm not sure what I'm looking for! I enjoy being on my own and I'm very good at managing my life. But I also enjoy being with friends and enhancing the richness of their lives as they enhance the richness of mine. I'm not in any hurry to make important decisions about the future. But if someone very special were to come along... I prefer to make friends first rather than rush headlong into relationships with people I hardly know. |
