| I have been vegetarian all my life and mostly vegan the past few years, working hard on being completely vegan. I can't bear the thought of harming another creature and obviously it makes sense from an environmental footprint point of view which is important to me. |

| I am a very sincere, decent and honest guy. In my spare time I play the violin in an orchestra. I am generally interested in classical music and the arts, going to museums, galleries, concerts, the theatre, the opera, visiting historic buildings and so on. I like folk music and ceilidh dancing too. I love hiking in the Scottish Highlands and Yorkshire Dales (summer or winter including ice axe and crampons), skiing, walks at the coast, looking for fossils, bird and nature watching or simply looking up at the stars at night. I really like cooking and baking. I am as happy listening to music or the radio as I am watching TV. I am a scientist by profession and I have a first class masters degree in chemistry and a PhD in molecular biology. After doing scientific research and a long spell in the civil service, I am now working in scientific consultancy relating to regulatory affairs. I am generally interested in all areas of science and philosophy though so I like to attend public lectures on anything from archaeology to particle physics. I am not from Essex originally but I am presently living in Witham and working in Chelmsford. I have spent most of my adult life living in Yorkshire and Scotland so I do miss the hills! I hope to retire in Scotland, especially in the Highlands or Shetlands! |

| I am looking to meet a genuine, kind and honest professional woman, especially someone with some cultural interests in classical music and the arts; vegetarianism and nature, gardening and the environment. Having some completely different interests to me is cool too. I am pretty tolerant, but we wouldn't get on if you are into hunting, fishing, horse racing or otherwise harming animals. Definitely non-smokers only also. |
