| Why I'm Vegetarian |
| My reason for being vegetarian is very simple: I love animals and don't believe we need - or have a right - to eat them. Moreover, modern industrialised protein manufacture degrades not only the creatures that it devours, but the planet we all share. |
| More About Me |
| I've loved animals for as long as I remember - from when I'd be an hour late to school on rainy mornings because I was trying to save worms. Like most on this site, I would measure intelligence and civilisation as the capacity to do something (i.e. kill), but having the wisdom and restraint not to. I've been a vegetarian now for half my life, though I'm not always as virtuous as I could be: I still have some leather shoes and I'm aware of the consequences of the dairy industry (yet still like a bit of a cheese). So you could consider me a work in progress. |

| I'd like to meet kindred spirits, good sorts, sound characters. You'll hopefully like some or more of the following: films, books, art, nature, environmentalism, "God's creatures", vast and wild beaches, cute little beaches, secret lakes, carousing, Bollywood, good music and bad music.
