| Why I'm Vegan |
| I've been vegan now about 7 years. I was not raised this way, but gravitated toward the lifestyle as an adult, mostly for spiritual/health reasons. I learned about the environmental benefits for the world later. I'd like to think my persistence is spiritually driven, but my vanity is a pretty big factor too -- we look so good when we take care of ourselves! I definitely feel the difference in my energy level. Also, being vegan in our culture forces me to be more mindful and thankful when I'm eating, because of all the challenges. Being more regularly thankful is good for me. This is part of the spiritual aspect. As is my connection with other living beings. I also like to think I'm being a good example to my younger sisters, and other family/friends who are too distracted by their world to notice or do anything about their eating/spiritual/health habits. |

| More About Me |
| I pray and meditate every morning, I find my day goes better this way. My kitchen is nearly 100% organic produce. I won't allow dairy or meat in the kitchen, I think it smells bad and I find it very visually disturbing. I'm playfully competitive in running and soccer. I manage and play on two co-ed indoor soccer teams. I do several triathlons and marathons a year. I'm in recovery, so no drugs or alcohol, including caffeine. I went 7 years without caffeine, and then thought I'd try it out again this past year, which was absolutely disastrous; I like it way too much, messes up my whole biorhythm. So does commercial tv. I'm attracted to nonviolent creative social activism, including music and art. Professionally I'm an open source consultant, a website manager, and I administer a small nonprofit social service dot com I launched several years ago. I was a mental health case manager for 11 years, working in the inner city. I enjoy the outdoors. I've had 3 years of graduate school in psychology. I'm well versed in many topics. Politically I'm liberal. |

| I'm Looking For |
| I AM IN A COMMITTED EXCLUSIVE RELATIONSHIP. GOD HAS PROVIDED WHAT I WAS SEEKING BELOW. Healthy, active, vegan. No alcohol/drug use, no caffeine. Involved in community and church. Must be able to practice sexual restraint during courtship - I find this is the most efficient way to develop trust early on, and makes for better intimacy later on. I find nonviolent creative social activism sexy. The more creative the better. Would like a partner in serving the less fortunate during the holidays, but additionally I find vacations on the beach, campfires with vegan marshmallows, luxury hotels that recycle (and allow big dogs!) - a few of my favorite things. I'd prefer to date a year or so to discern marriage, even if its love at first site. |
