| Why I'm Vegan |
| I'm a life-long vegetarian transitioning to vegan (about 90%) for mainly health/dietary concerns along with the standard animal reasons and the environmental impact. I've been an avid, active gardener for many decades. That’s my serene space besides getting garden work done. A few of my favorites to grow are raspberries, strawberries and all different kinds of vegetables including heirloom tomatoes. Always trying to broaden my mycology knowledge and ever expanding herbalism usage beyond the basics. I enjoy mind-body activities that align more with an eastern approach like: yoga, tai chi, pilates, dance, mild weight-training, light cycling, walking, and meditation. However, I’m not a mainstream, rah-rah sports team kind of person and never actively follow any major sports franchises. I’m much more understated yet elevated in my lifestyle choices. Some foodie favorites include: Thai, Tapas, Mexican, Asian, Italian, Fusion, Mediterranean-based dining styles and more offbeat, healthy options. Working on building my ever expanding vegan (baking/cooking) recipes and cookbook collection. |

| I’m the cerebral, creative type with an extensive art background, so think of me as an arts gallery/museum kind of person minus the attitude. Expressive, smart, unique, intelligent and talkative yet introspective, curious, urban, sensible, and a grounded realistic person. A good sense of humor and/or basic wit is important because life really requires it. Communication skills are key and the crucial foundation in any friendship and/or relationship. I'm moderately active, and remain true to myself. Trying to age naturally and gracefully in mind, body, and soul. I’d rather listen to a podcast or an audible book than ever watch any sports game. I’m somewhat outwardly progressive, yet my core beliefs are much more conventional than I am willing to admit. Certainly never the raunchy, rowdy kind nor do I ever actively bake in the sun or golf ever. Naturally prone to being more introverted yet pretty talkative sometimes. I enjoy more thought-provoking, cerebral films and lean towards alternative and mostly dance-type music. Environmentally interested in eco/green technology, horticulture, permaculture and landscaping, so I do actively recycle, compost, mulch, and plant mostly native local varieties. My weekends are spent doing ongoing home-improvement restoration projects. Lastly a spiritual foundation is important with universal belief in a higher power does matter to me. Truthfully speaking, I have never smoked anything including weed or any drugs ever. Maybe an occasional glass of wine with dinner only. Nothing extreme here: zero tattoos or body piercings except standard earrings. I’m pro-science and pro-vaccinations that’s an absolute necessity here. |
| I'm Looking For |
| Looking for a SWM penpal, friendship, or perhaps in due time, a possible relationship. I’m definitely open to penpals near and far across the globe. No addictions or bad vices: smoking, vaping, drugs, or recreational weed. Someone who’s authentic, genuine, loyal, open-minded and a somewhat moderate progressive. My ultimate wishlist would include: Intelligence, originality, integrity, compassionate, honest, self-acceptance, etc. Seeking someone to compliment and/or enhance my life but not necessarily be a carbon-copy of myself. I'm by no means a globe-trekker or habitual traveler either so basic cultural awareness and curiosity will suffice. Usually shorter weekend trips or excursions when time permits. An overabundance of material possessions and financial status doesn't easily impress me but living comfortably within ones’ own means does.
