Why I'm Vegetarian |
I became a vegetarian about a dozen years ago, not long after my divorce. I made the change for several reasons I guess. But mostly because I just didn't want to be the cause of some other creature's suffering. |

More About Me |
I am a writer. Having recently published my first novel at the age of 53, I feel that I have accomplished one of my life's major goals: Not peaking too early. |

I'm Looking For |
I bought a new toaster oven recently when my old one stopped turning off by itself. The new one looked similar to the old one, but the rack for the toast was terrible, incredibly difficult to get in or out, rattling the entire toaster every time I opened the door. Who could design such a flawed device I thought? Where is the quality control? Where is the pride? Then one day after several weeks of struggling to save my english muffins, I took the rack out, turned it upside down, and put it back in. Of course it worked. Smooth. Effortless. A perfect fit.I have no idea why. It looks absolutely the same to me either way. Maybe that's why my life seems to turn upside down pretty often all on it's own. It is still seeking that perfect fit. |
