| Why I'm Vegan |
| I feel that animal agriculture is too cruel to animals to be a part of. Also for the environment. As I practically grew up as a vegetarian (since age eight), meat just seems gross. I don't like most meat substitutes because they taste too real, though I no longer remember what meat really tastes like. After being a vegetarian for seven years, I started on my eight year journey (too long, I cringe now) to becoming a vegan. I would never go back, even if I was starving. I would probably feed meat to a starving child, though. |

| I love crafts like crochet and plastic canvas, which I have been doing since I was about eight. I read mostly science fiction, but I enjoy a diversity of other things. My room is stuffed with craft supplies and books. In college, I was, in order, a mathematics/art education/psychology/English major, finally graduating with a Bachelor's in Psychology. I went back for a year to take early care and education classes, but decided against that too. I still am not sure what I want to do when I grow up. I am currently unemployed and on disability. I'm working on writing a novel. I prefer classic rock. I have wide-ranging but specific interests. I dislike offensive things, conflict, much responsibility, or no control. I am a pack rat, attached to my junk. I love bizarreness. I love children, especially my two nieces, but I don't know if I could handle parenthood or be a good parent. I don't plan to give birth, but I would be willing to consider being a stepmother. At least once a week for the past four years, I have recorded myself reading an online newspaper for an hour to be broadcast on a radio for blind people. |

| I want to find someone to spend the rest of my life with, who has traits that balance with mine. I want someone who is self-confident and has established themselves already. I want someone who is very liberal politically, an atheist, caring, open-minded, creative, unconventional, and assertive. I want someone who will take walks with me around the neighborhood, but I don't like dogs. Oh, and being a good vegan chef is definitely a plus. I love food but hate cooking. I'm looking for anyone who wants to be friends. I'm willing to talk to anyone inoffensive. Necessary qualities: encourages me to leave my comfort zone, vegan, likes to read. Desirable qualities: strong-willed, independent, proactive, dedicated, modest, quick-witted, expressive, flexible, thoughtful, interested/knowledgeable about business/liberal arts, imaginative, creative, likes abstract/philosophical discussions, can be tolerant of my many quirks, likes the bizarre but not the offensive. I don't want someone who has facial hair or wears makeup regularly. |
