| Why I eat Veggie... Veggie is hot. Veggie is sexy. Veggie is chic. Oh wait...that's not the reason... Well between a few bad experiences in restaurants as a teenager; discovering PETA, "Diet for a Small Planet", "The Jungle", Public radio; and images of people turning living beings (whether from land or sea) into Food Product; I've had little desire to eat others. Oh, and actually, veggie is sexy. |

| I believe in equality in relationships and like giving and sharing. I'm very romantic at times and feel skill in communication is a basic key for a happy, sustainable couple. I'm politically/eco minded and love being involved: volunteering, writing, peaceful assembling. I lived in Thailand for two years and can speak Thai, and found being outside the empire refreshing. Altogether, I was a monk for several years and try to keep up a practice of meditation and live a loving life. Traveling to meet other cultures and communing with nature are favorites. Working out in a gym, biking, hiking, giving/receiving massage, natural health therapies, a little yoga; for fun and to honor the temple. Anything positive that would strengthen the relationship with a loved one. I've an interest in alternative energy (I work for a solar power company) and alternative construction ( See pics of a small earthen dome I built based on Iranian architecture). I feel most comfortable around fellow activists and other life-full folks. Never owned a TV. I love reading and talking about news, history, science, health, enlightenment, ecology, relationship, politics, activism, etc.; not just to talk but to learn and do. I play keyboards and write lyrics and poems on occasion. Some of my deepest experiences have come from listening to, and playing music. Favorites include jazz, Latin jazz, classical, funk, classic rock, folk, gospel, African, Middle Eastern, Laotian, and Cambodian. |

| My soul mate ideally, but anyone interested in a fun date. True friends, of course are worth more than their weight in gold. Someone smart, funny, compassionate, brave, fair, a patient teacher, an enthusiastic learner, natural beauty-inner and outer. Someone who would pin me down in a wrestling match with mercy; could teach me a few tongue twisters; likes adventure as well as nesting. Would join me in a two-person book club.
