| I've been vegan for about 15 years, and was vegetarian for about 10 years prior to that. I am vegan because I feel compassion for our fellow earthlings and it seems the most obvious and direct way to reduce suffering in this world. It's also best for the environment, it's healthy, and I believe it's optimal for spiritual development. |

| I'm generally introverted, although I move along the introvert-extrovert spectrum based on environment. I read a lot; almost exclusively non-fiction books related to psychology, philosophy, meditation and natural sciences. I'm very health conscious, no alcohol and SOS-free food, because I want my mind and body to be in optimal shape every day. I’m resonate with secular Buddhism. I try to practice continuous mindfulness, meditate for an hour each day and sit at least one Vipassana retreat each year. I'm a long term vegan for ethical reasons, although the health & environmental case for veganism are also important. I speak Chinese although I'm a little rusty, with few opportunities to practice. I run, cycle and/or practise yoga every day, and enjoy hiking / trekking particularly in the mountains. I practice minimalism because the less we want, the happier we are. |
