| Why I'm Vegetarian |
| I became a vegetarian (at the time, fully vegan) over 7 years ago. I've always been an environmentally-conscious and animal-loving type of person since I was a kid, and though I initially made the choice largely for health reasons, within a few months time, experiencing first-hand that it was not necessary to kill or harm any living things in order to sustain good health and nutrition, despite the mainstream misconceptions to the contrary, it became a permanent lifestyle decision for primarily ethical reasons, in addition to the health advantages. To this day I have lived meat-free and am also mostly vegan - as I grew up raising chickens, I will buy free-range eggs, preferably locally-raised, as I see no ethical reasons not to, when the chickens are free and treated humanely, as well as honey. I don't drink milk (I use almond milk or soy milk) but occasionally will have dairy cheese as a treat. Otherwise, I avoid most animal products, and certainly don't buy leather or any blatant ethical atrocities against animals. |

| Ultimately, I am looking for a loyal, ambitious, and independent woman who knows what she wants in life. Since I am extremely independent and driven, I need someone who is complementary to that so that we can support and encourage and both push each other be the best we can in life. However, I am also very much interested in platonic female friends, as I am somewhat of a misandrist and generally prefer to be friends with women rather than men, especially within the societal qualities of Western civilization. |
