| I joined a Sikh path more than 25 years ago that advocated vegetarianism. Although I left that path I have remained a veggie and could not imagine being anything else. |
| More About Me |
| I am a vegetarian Scorpio, fairly true to the sign in its positive aspects. I would like to meet a warm hearted vegetarian or "vegetarian friendly" woman. Astrologers say we Scorpios are best suited to Cancer or Pisces but I'm not sure how accurate that is as we mature and some of the edges have been worn off! I live just outside Victoria, BC on Vancouver Island on a 5 acre hobby farm where, unlike many misconceptions of things Canadian, we have a temperate climate and our cherry trees bloom in February! (I included the photo of the house in snow just to show how pretty it can be - snow is rare though.) I've spent the last few years adding on to the house. I'm an accountant by profession, but along the way I've been an arbitrator, a housing developer, a computer programmer and a consultant. I enjoy mental and physical challenges. I was born and raised in New Zealand. I've also lived and worked in Australia and Africa, and traveled through India and Sri Lanka. I have been here in Canada since 1974. I'm tall and have not weathered badly apart from the white and missing hair! I'm reasonably well off with a secure income. I'm comfortable with myself and would probably be a perfect bachelor but life without a partner is sterile. I'm a protector and provider. I take things fairly seriously but I have a warm and sensitive interior. I've done the money and power thing and seen how shallow that world is. Now I am driven by my belief and passion in whatever I am doing, and not by ambition for reward or recognition. In all things, I'm interested in integrity and substance, not flash or show. I value integrity, I'm honest, quick minded, deeply caring, supportive, generous, and a bit messy. I'm old fashioned - I'm a "friends first" person - and I'll walk on the street side of a lady, and will always be there when I'm needed. In a professional or work setting I am a natural leader. In a social setting I am more comfortable to sit back and listen. I march to my own drummer and am passionate about my convictions, but while I'll happily debate my beliefs I'm not weighed down with too much ego. I have an inquiring intuitive mind, I conceptualise, I dream, and I still feel the wonder of life. I saw a profile a while back that applies well to me "Not sold in stores" ! ... lol. |

| I'm looking for a warm hearted vegetarian/vegan woman - some one with whom life is worth living. I would like a relationship where the caring never stops, and where the special little things like breakfast in bed or a small treat keep their specialness. I'd love to have a 99% commitment from a wonderful woman and to have to keep courting her for the last 1% I'm not keen on absolutes and believe there is always a need for balance in life - I'm leery of profiles that include the word "must" ! I'm not keen on coarseness or crudity. You won't find me watching UFC or the "big game". Chemistry between two people often defies explanation, and certainly defies mine. A match is a two way street - that as much as a woman may seem to be everything I desire, if I am not equally what she desires then there is no future in it. My pulse races just as fast as the next guy at the sight of a pretty face but for a partner I’m more interested in a face that is alive, that can show joy, love, excitement, compassion and happiness. I'd like to meet someone who is warm; relaxed; who has values; who cares and can be cared for; and is open to new things and ideas. Someone who is genuine: who wears the same face at home; with friends; and out in the world. Someone who has a natural class and positive outlook on life, who sees the silver lining in things, and who takes delight in the wonderful world around us. It would be nice to meet you.
