Why I'm Vegetarian
I only eat fish. I do not eat any other meat. I am happy with this, and am not planning on stopping eating fish. I have not eaten any meat other than fish for over 30 years. When I stopped eating meat, I didn't know anyone who was doing the same thing. But I did it on my own without any support, anyone to talk to about it, and whilst watching vegetarians being ridiculed on television and whilst putting up with ignorant peoples attitudes and comments. None of that put me off doing what I felt was right. And in the long run, many people have since cut down on eating red meat. It would be good to share common causes, e.g. to end animal and human suffering. I would like to meet vegetarians, or others who eat no meat other than fish, or vegans or semi vegetarians. I have gone out with meat eaters in the past, and they ate my vegetarian meals without any problem. But I would prefer to meet more vegetarians and to have that in common with more friends and future relationships. Although,I eat fish, apart from that, I feel exactly the same with respect to being anti animal cruelty and against meat eating, as any vegetarians who do not eat fish. I have never lectured meat eaters about it all, but have talked about the cruelty and also about the gross things that are put into meat products, which often has an effect, because unless people are told, they often have no idea what they are really eating nor of what the meat industry is capable of doing in their greed for profit. And also food industries in general, with all the chemical poisons that they put into foods. Such as benzoates, which no one should be eating if they care about their health. One of the reasons why I think vegetarians live longer and are usually healthier is because when we cut out meat, we also are eating more natural products, and therefore less chemicals and so vegetarians and of course vegans are consequently not being poisoned like everyone else is, not to the same extent anyway. I am pleased that I have not eaten mammals or birds for over 30 years, and will always be glad that I decided to do this.
More About Me
I think the world would be a better place if no one ate meat. There is too much killing and destruction. I care about humanity and the world, not only the people who I know but everyone as human beings, and I would rather live in a world where others care too. I believe that people create the world they live in actively and constantly, so whatever type of world you want to live in, that is the way to behave and to live your life. Rather than just to join in with whatever is around you. I am an optimistic person, positive not negative, confident, and I enjoy a laugh, quirky sense of humour. I enjoy travel, reading-psychology, sociology, autobiographies, fiction, travel books and cookery books, studying, walking, swimming, music, watching films, going to concerts. I love water, the sea/ocean, waterfalls, lakes, swimming pools, and the beach.
I'm Looking For
Someone special for a relationship, or new friends. I like people who are kind, considerate, not selfish, thoughtful of others, cheerful.
