| Why I'm Vegan |
| I instantly became vegan for ethical reasons 16 years ago when I spent time at an animal sanctuary and learned for the first time about the horrors of milk. What took me so long?! Prior to that, I was primarily vegetarian since the latter part of high school. Through a non-profit organization that I founded in Rhode Island dedicated to vegan advocacy, I have spent countless hours volunteering on behalf of all the billions of farmed animals suffering- as well as the wildlife, rivers, forests, air, etc. impacted by our food choices. Veganism is far more expansive than a diet for me. It's an ethical framework for living and thinking about the world- and my place within it. |

| I relocated to the area to work for an animal sanctuary a few years ago but I'm originally from Rhode Island. I am dedicated to living with compassion toward all living beings and the earth. I feel more at home in nature than a big city but enjoy the cultural and artistic opportunities of the city. I have two rescued kitties that I adore. I enjoy kayaking, exploring a forest, meadow, mountain etc., live music and theater, swimming holes, walks on the beach, reading (novels, non-fiction etc.), writing poetry, cooking new vegan recipes/being creative in the kitchen, holistic health, the arts, yoga, travel, creative pursuits, and volunteering to help other species and the earth. I am considered by others to be honest, loving, affectionate, loyal, open minded, caring, sensitive, fun and adventurous. I dream of one day living in a completely earth friendly home surrounded by native plants/ flowers and a veganic vegetable garden. I am hoping to meet someone with shared values who has integrity and wants a loving, long term relationship. |
