| Why I'm Vegetarian |
| I am a vegetarian for many reasons: aesthetic (I find dead animals on the table repugnant), environmental (particularly what the additional methane does in terms of global climate change, additional energy used to raise animals, increased nitrogen to soil, and the use of land for animal husbandry involving the decimation of much of our land that were it forested, would greatly improve the current habitat for birds and other innocent animals and its affects of a meat based national diet on our water and air; health, ethical (why kill unnecessarily). I have been a vegetarian for 42 years, my entire adult life. |
