| Why I'm Vegetarian |
| it was hard to decide on which box to check. i have been a vegetarian, mostly vegan and sometimes raw, for more than 20 years. i very occasionally eat a small piece of salmon or a few shrimp so, according to the definitions here, i am almost vegetarian. but that label does not feel right since i am often vegan and sometimes a raw foodist depending on my needs and desires. i am motivated to practice a vegetarian lifestyle because of my belief that cruelty to any type of being should be avoided. the health benefits of my lifestyle are considerable and i appreciate them, but they are not what motivates me to be a vegetarian. being considerate of mother earth and her other inhabitants is what motivates me. |
