| I have always been very close to animals. As a child I was able to get closer to wild animals (without them running off) than anyone I know. I never liked the killing of animals, would protest it and try to protect animals. When I was around 13 or 14 I became vegetarian for over a year despite tremendous pressure from family and family friends. I did not know how to cook at that point so it was also hard on others and when going to family and other gatherings. I went back to eating everything but have been strictly vegan for the past 6-7 years. Having researched it, I think a vegan diet is also healthier than non-vegan diets. Originally from the Midwest. Am curious and interested in exploring and trying new things. Have many interests. Interested in traveling, but have not done as much as I would like because am very ambitious career-wise. Have been to a few countries and learned Spanish fairly well, but have not used it in a long time. Would like to re-achieve Spanish proficiency and learn more languages. |
