| Why I'm Vegan |
| I am vegan primarily because I believe no-one should be treated as the property of another and that includes animals. I also believe veganism is a more compassionate way of life and leaves a smaller footprint. |
| More About Me |
| I have been vegan since I was 19 however I was briefly vegetarian when I was 8 years old. Friends describe me as patient, emotionally generous, compassionate, a good listener and a person of integrity. I prefer quality over quantity when it comes to friendships and when spending time with friends, I prefer one to one or small group gatherings rather than parties. Politically I am left leaning but I don't blindly follow any one doctrine. I think the best approach is to consider each issue case by case. I am strongly against exploitation of any kind and will always speak up against any mistreatment of the weak or vulnerable, be they human or non-human. I absolutely adore my two young daughters (both vegan and from a previous relationship) and am enjoying watching them grow up (although it seems to be happening too fast). I have always had an affinity for animals and have had companion animals since I was a toddler. It doesn't make sense to me that some people can love their companion animals while eating other animals. I watching independent movies, reading and keeping active. I don't watch much TV but I do like watching surrealistic comedy on TV. Eating out at vegetarian restaurants is fun too. Being in nature and having quiet, introspective time are other things I value. There is more to me than appears in this box but you'll have to get to know me to find out. |
| I'm Looking For |
| The traits that I value are warmth, sincerity, empathy and compassion. Being able to show your true self is important to me too, not to mention being able to have a laugh and be a bit silly occasionally. Veganism is an important part of my life and I probably couldn't connect with someone unless they were vegan or at least had intentions of being vegan. |
