| I am vegetarian because i have a deep love for non-human animals and the natural world in general. I deplore the way humans factory farm animals without any concern for the fact that they are feeling, thinking and sentient beings with a right to be treated with respect. The natural world, ecosystems and the planet as a whole has always amazed me since i was a teenager. I have been vego for 30 years now and its great to know all the animals that have not had to die in that time to satisfy my palate. But please don't get me wrong i love having friends and i would love to re partner, experiencing the emotional intimacy of love is very important to me |

| More About Me |
| I am a divorced 46 year old, i am fairly reserved and prefer quiet activities like a bush walk, movie, restaurant meal or gardening to a party or large gathering although i have a lot of energy and like to keep busy in general. One on one i am very chatty and open emotionally. I exercise regularly and am quite fit and slim. I am also very supportive of any partner i may have as long as its reciprocated. I have no problems with expressing my feelings and enjoy emotional closeness and honesty. I am also very touchy feely and love hugs and cuddles on the couch with a good DVD etc. I have lived the last 17 years on small acreage outside the east of Melbourne surrounded by a multitude of animals, dogs, cats (kept inside so they wouldn't catch all the beautiful native birds) as well as sheep (pets, obviously), etc etc. I recently divorced and now have a smaller residential house in Yarra Glen just outside Melbourne's east. Like most people i have had my ups and downs in life and have developed an acceptance that life is indeed this way. Although i enjoy closeness i am also independent and enjoy my own 'space'. Oh, i also have kids who stay with me regularly but i would love to share my life with a new partner and have a close relationship with someone around my own age. My kids want me to re partner also and they are not looking for a new 'mother' so don't worry on that score, they are very close to their natural mother but would be supportive of anyone i became involved with. |

| I'm Looking For |
| I am looking for someone similar to me as i guess everyone is, but i am looking at this new stage of my life positively and someone between about 35-55 would be good. They would preferably be vegetarian and have a left wing slant, .Social justice is very important to me and i would hope a partner felt the same way, by this i mean issues such as indigenous Australians rights etc, I enjoy closeness and emotional intimacy a lot and i am also very open emotionally but am also independent and appreciate my space, a balance i guess. Also i try hard to accept people the way they are and not judge or change them as we are all different anyway. |
