| Why I'm Vegan |
| I am a vegetarian (mostly vegan) primarily because of my compassion for animals. I have always loved animals and consider them to be my friends. Like us, fish, cows, chickens, turkeys, and pigs are sentient beings. They can experience a full range of feelings, including joy, fear, pain, love and loneliness. I believe that they desire and deserve to live their lives free of suffering. By being a vegetarian, I save some of those precious lives everyday, and that makes me happy! |

| Here are some words that friends have used to describe me, along with some I would use to describe myself: back-to-nature country girl progressive liberal open-minded kind and compassionate animal rights advocate creative & artistic (digital artist - fractals and generative ai) independent bookworm introspective - INFJ bit of a loner environmentalist tolerant sentimental affectionate old hippie inside intelligent generous pacifist I live with a wide-open heart full of unconditional, expansive love. I practice random acts of kindness nearly everyday. I meditate, do online breathwork sessions and enjoy spiritual (not religious) books and events. When I am not creating art, I volunteer at a local humane society and at a local food shelf. I love to walk in the woods on my property also. In addition, I enjoy working outdoors doing yard chores and flower gardening. Antiquing, auctions, yard sales, flea markets, music events and car trips to new places are some other things I like to do from time to time. The mountains hold a special place in my heart and I now own a home on top of a small mountain in southern Vermont. My home is surrounded by flower gardens and several acres of woods. There is a lovely view of the valley below and a larger mountain in the distance. Things I don't do well or things needing improvement: I don't exercise regularly, so would love to find a walking buddy. I need to lose weight in general. (I'm working on it.) I hate to dance! I dislike getting up early in the morning. I have a phobia about public speaking. Driving in city traffic makes me extremely nervous! I don't particularly like to socialize in small groups. One-on-one is best and large crowds are ok too. |

| I would enjoy meeting someone who shares some of my interests. Ideally, that person would be liberal with a free spirit and open mind. I prefer a meeting of the minds, so physical appearance is secondary. If I fall in love with a man's personality, his whole being becomes beautiful! I find that a person's most attractive asset is located between their ears. The person I'd like to meet must be tolerant of my need for solitude and my longer-than-normal hours on the computer creating and viewing art. I am drawn to sweet, tender, sensitive men, not "macho" men. Because of my personal ethics, I would prefer that Trump fans, gun owners, hunters, fisherman and conservatives not contact me. Neither one of us would find joy and happiness together. |
