| Why I'm Vegetarian |
| I've been a vegetarian since 1980, for spiritual reasons originally, but soon started learning all the other wonderful reasons for not eating meat. Lately I've been leaning towards healthy gluten-free veganism, so many wonderful and healthful foods and some great vegan restaurants in my area! Been hooked on green smoothies for the past couple of months too! |

| I have a degree in Environmental Studies with a focus on Human/Social Ecology, and Music from a liberal arts college where I got a great education (in life rather than simply qualifying for a career). I currently work as an Urban Forester and have been in the Arboriculture/Forestry field for about 24 years! Before that I worked for a big rock promoter (Bill Graham), as a Park Ranger, a Naturalist, house painter and pizza cook/delivery guy. I moved to CA in 1988 with $26 in my pocket, so had to start somewhere ;-) |
| I'm Looking For |
| I'm looking for someone who lives the veggie/vegan life, and wants to keep growing and learning in that area. Someone who thinks going out in the woods on a rainy winter day to look for edible mushrooms sounds like a fun day. Someone who is more natural than mainstream, more open to organic lifestyles than commercial, unique, unconventional, likes to go out to see music, symphony, jazz, folk, rock, world... but also likes to stay home and help cook up a fantastic veggie meal, or experiment with fermentation, or just get some some take-out (Indian, Thai, Mid-Eastern, Fresh-Mex...) and watch some off-beat movie, foreign flick, or documentary, or maybe spend the day in bed binge watching a series on Netflix (gotta have those 'off' days every once in a while). You should be adverse to artificial fragrances, and well, most anything artificial. Does this sound like you? |
