| i came to veganism mainly because of my health. you see i am a type 2 diabetic and have managed to reduce my blood sugar levels back to normal with a vegan diet and exercise. i have also had a history of digestive problems that veganism has helped me with but i also support the ethical and environmental aspects of veganism too. |

| who am i? that is a good question because this is something i am trying to answer myself. the short answer is: i am a 53 yr old asian male of chinese hakka decent, who grew up in california and has spent the last 9+ yrs working as a swedish-english translator in sweden and have just recently quit my job and am looking for a new direction in life. what that is yet, i don't know but i thought joining this site and trying to find someone would be a good idea. we have yet to see because i have never dated online before. the major influences in my life are probably my search for higher spirituality which has been with me since childhood and my health, which has influenced my life recently by making me consider my diet and lifestyle and have forced me to make changes in a positive direction. personality wise, i do like to get to know people on a deeper personal level and in my mind i would like to find a person i feel i could grow with in a relationship on many and deep levels. i am not really a social butterfly and don't really feel comfortable in large groups engaging in small talk and masses of activities. what i do like is dancing, singing, watching my favorite youtubers, going for daily walks, riding my bike, cooking and some other things that i forget right now. i like appreciating the small things like clouds, kind gestures, honest and meaningful conversation, things like that. but in regards to my sense of humor i can be really offbeat and childish. if you like we'll get along perfectly but if you don't you might find it a bit irritating. i guess it would be up to you to judge. anyway, there is so much more i can say but i leave it at this for now. |

| yes, it would be great if i were to find a soulmate, but i'm not sure what that means or how that would work but i think i'll know when it feels right as we get to know each other so i remain open to whatever comes. |
