| Why I'm Vegan |
| For purely moral reasons. In my teenage years I struggled with what I learned about the meat and diary industry and pledged to go vegan. Fortunately, I hated meat anyway. I wasn't concerned with health aspects at the time but am happy that advantages exist there too. I enjoy keeping fit and eat as well as possible (organic, non-processed, no sugar etc) but am not too OCD about it and am happy with the odd veggie fry up after a night out! |
| More About Me |
| Live in Manchester. Work at the University as a researcher. Stay in shape with gym and cycling Monday to Friday but none of them are a hobby - my favourite pastime is working on my allotments. I like to enjoy a night out on Friday if I can (some old habits die hard) but am much happier staying in than I used to be! Have spent many a year as a DJ and playing in a band but seem to have grown out of both of those (mostly). Have two kids (16 and 9) who I adore but life with their mother didn't seem to work out. |

| Somebody to have laughter and conversations with and eventually to care for. I take being a vegan for granted and don't get involved in campaigning or events, but I forget how much more comfortable I feel sharing the experience of being 'the veggie' with another. |
