| I have a deep appreciation for life and my journey. I am the mother of 2 really cool kids (13 and 11) whom I homeschool and I quite often have a small tribe of their friends at my house. Music is a focal point of our lives, jam sessions and karaoke are a frequent occurrence at my house, along with drum circles around a camp fire. My 'life's purpose' is starting to unfold with 2 new business ventures. I don't really like the word 'business', however, to keep it simple, that's what I'll call them. One is the Fearless Women's Circle, where my partner and I facilitate weekly women's circles and weekend retreats. Our motto is 'Life begins at the edge of your comfort zone' and that pretty much sums up my attitude to life. The second business is Circles of Connection. We facilitate community drum circles, drum circles in schools and we are hoping to branch out to Rehab centres and psych wards. It is deeply humbling to be a conduit in people feeling empowered and connected. I believe that there are lessons in every part of our journey. When I am having a tough time, I always ask the question 'What am I supposed to learn from this?' and so I am constantly striving to be the best version of myself I can be. |
