| More About Me |
| In 2002, I founded a 501(c)3 cat sanctuary, where we rescue, rehabilitate and (hopefully) re-home abandoned, abused, stray and otherwise at-risk kitties. I became vegetarian in 1989. I wasn't fully awake, tho - I considered myself to be "vegan except for dairy" for so many years. Glad I realized how ridiculous that was. I've been truly vegan for 12 years and loving it. I'm a Jersey girl, who's also lived in NY, CA and FL. My favorite season is Autumn, but I am unable to relocate from Florida (where there basically IS no Autumn) at this time. I'm kind of like a fish out of water, here in Florida; I'm not a "beach person," and the heat, the bugs, the flatness and yes, the people, get to me. My favorite time of day is 4:20 (lol). I can be pretty hilarious when the mood strikes (been told I should have been a stand up comedian. But then, I've also been told I should've been a veterinarian). I like The X-Files, Real Time with Bill Maher, Goliath, The Americans, Designated Survivor, Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band, Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers, and a slew of other Classic Rock. I'm a stickler for the English language - please don't tell me you "could care less!" I share my life with my wonderful seven year old rescued doggie, TyTy, the 50 cats here at the Sanctuary, my niece and her amazing four-year old son, Silas. I'd like to have that special someone in my life. Someone who "gets me." |
