| Why I'm Vegan |
| Went veg at age 15, vegan at 19. At the time I was in my native UK, caught up in the anarchist punk movement. In the consciousness of anyone exposed to that scene were issues associated with animal rights, squatters rights, nuclear disarmament, anti-apartheid, police oppression, personal freedom and autonomy. The big issue for me has always been animal rights and the arrogance and delusion humans have in thinking we are somehow superior and free to inflict pain and suffering on the most vulnerable. I'm vegan because I stand for an evolved, empowered vision of humankind as compassionate and responsible and healthy. |
