| I have been vegan for four years now, and a vegetarian on and off since I was about nine years old.Short answer - four years ago, I read an article about two men and a house pig. Their story intrigued me, i read their books, watched documentaries, and did my research on a plant-based lifestyle. The thought of seeing the fear in the eyes of any sentient four legged being is heartbreaking and unnecessary. It takes little effort to have peace on our plates. Farm animal suffering is extraordinarily unpleasant, and too many people choose to turn away from reading or hearing the gory details. It is shameful that greed and uncompassionate individuals in agribusiness are responsible for causing so much fear and pain to billions of animals. |
