| Why I'm Vegan |
| I went vegan a few months before my fifteenth birthday in 2009. I had been vegetarian for a year by then. I checked MSN (You remember MSN right?!) and hotmail today popped up with the usual celebrity nonsense. One title caught my eye. "Soamdso celebrity vows to eat nothing in 2009". How could someone eat nothing? I found myself wondering, so I clicked the article. The actor was basically eating vegan. Okay. Tbe comment section was filled with people condemning them for their new lifestyle. All but one. They linked a lecture found of YouTube called Food that Kills. I clicked on it, saw it was fifty eight minutes long and settled in. When it was over I wrote up a list of what I needed and posted it to the fridge. Letting my parents know I was vegan now and what I needed was posted. Never went back! |
