| Why I'm Vegan |
| I became vegan after being "reduce-itarian" for many years (trying to reduce the amount of animal products I consumed as much as possible, and only purchasing "humane" products when I did). One day I was looking into which brand of eggs was most ethical and learned quickly that no brand of eggs was ethical. So I decided to commit to being vegan as I realized it's the only way to align my actions with my values of keeping the animals and environment safe. One cooking class was all I needed to make the jump--I'll never go back! I also try to live as sustainably as possible by being conservative with resource-use, while aiming for a "chemical-free" and "plastic-free" lifestyle. Everything I purchase and put in my body undergoes careful decision of how that item came to be and what happens to it after I use it. |

| I'm a doctorate student in water resource science. My work focuses on data visualization for decision support and sustainable management of Earth resources (I'm on track to graduate in May 2023). I also work as a reading and math tutor at Kumon and have my own Etsy store the side. 420-friendly, Colorado native. I'm a huge fan of the work hard, play hard motto. My life goal is to make the world a better place and have the most fun I can while doing so. I'm highly multi-faceted, so I have a ton of interests/hobbies/areas of knowledge to share with you.
