| I do not want to cause harm, to the extent possible, to our fellow creatures or any sentient beings. We share the planet and I don't want to contribute to environmental harm that destroys habitats, causes extinctions and catastrophes, degrades our health, and hurts people and animals. I also believe I am healthier and thrive on a plant based diet. |

| I am genuine, patient, kind, and responsible. I stay fit, exercise routinely, and eat a plant-based vegan diet. I enjoy walking on the beach, hiking in nature, playing tennis, sci-fi shows, and reading. I tend to read non-fiction related to science, philosophy, health/nutrition, psychology, and society/politics. When there isn't a pandemic, I like going out to restaurants, to dance or to see movies or comedy shows. With a partner, I'm also content to be cozy at home. I live mostly in Florida, but spend some of the year at the house in Maryland. I have two sons, the youngest is a high school senior living with me and the oldest lives away. I am non-religious although I appreciate the wisdom and values in many religious and spiritual traditions. I am moderate politically, with mostly progressive views but some conservative in a few respects, although I believe in finding common ground for the common good. I completed a career in engineering and management, so now I am semi-retired with several projects and interests. I plan to travel more and enjoy learning about new people, places, and cultures. |
