| Why I'm Vegan |
| I’ve been vegan for as long as I’ve been an adult, and raised my (now young adult) children vegan as well. Originally, it was for animals, but I eventually learned the many other reasons to be so. I can’t imagine any other way! In years past, traveling to vegan hot spots or little out of the way vegan restaurants was a treat; now I’d like to live someplace where it’s more common & where more vegans exist (possibly Portland, OR). My diet is transitioning toward a very low sodium, low fat, healthful/whole foods version (tho I’m not sure yet whether I’ll ever go 100% SOS-free). I used to do some activism, then stopped for a number of years while married (tho I’ve always volunteered, with & without my kids, in other ways), and would be happy to find a joint/mutual cause to support with our time/resources — something vegan-related or not. |

| I’d say I’m … traditional & outside-the-box, silly & serious, cooperative & a’lil competitive, an introvert who can be outgoing, nurturing, loyal, affectionate, curious, positive, and good. Some questions here don’t allow for enough detail to be accurate. One of my young adult kids lives with me (which, of course, differs from having a 7- or 16-year-old at home); I don’t wish to birth a child, but would happily participate in/support the upbringing of a partner’s child/ren. My son seems to be allergic to pot smoke (even just on clothes), which is why I marked “not okay” on that question. Totally open to giving more info about vaccine status/“philosophy” and anything else here (or not on here), so please ask away! |
| I'm Looking For |
| I’m looking for … a fun lover; a genuine friend; a likeminded, honest, principled, good-hearted person with a similar sense of humor & desire for connection. While I applaud & encourage anyone who’s got even a toe on the veg*n path, for partnership, only a fully committed vegan will make a good fit for me. Also, yep, I said fun *lover* (not fun-lover, tho that’s a hope as well! haha), but I have zero interest in hooking up or “getting that out of the way before we get serious” - it’ll take time & trust for me to go there - but I’m completely comfortable talking about it, so if u have questions, please ask! Thanks in advance for respecting each of these boundaries. And (separately) I’d love to have some new vegan friends to meet up with, travel to/with, and talk & laugh with! |
