| Quietly confident, easy-going, friendly, calm & warm, very creative, adventurous (not afraid, but not careless either), decisive but not pushy, open-minded but will stand up for my own common sense, intellectual and analytical (conservation biologist) but also artistic (musician and writer). I have a beautiful circle of friendships in my life which I try to honor. I'm greatly influenced by my Dad, who was an artist and an educator- my passions revolve around music (both creating it and attending concerts) and the natural world. I love to travel- visited 26 countries, many in Latin America where I've spent over 6 years of my life off & on. I am retired now (from CA State Parks), so I usually travel outside the USA twice a year. Hanging out with people in other countries, especially indigenous folks, is a joy to me. Other big reasons to travel include birdwatching (a passion), art / architecture appreciation, trying out cuisines, learning history, hiking, and sometimes skin diving. I still enjoy drinking in moderation but left my days of excess craziness a long time ago. Fortunately I never succumbed to any addictions- I learned from observing others in that realm. |

| Eleven years ago I was widowed, very blessed with 10 years of a real relationship with an incredible woman. A number of years have passed and I am moving into a new passage. I know grief pretty intimately but life still stretches out before me and beckons. Hoping to find someone who is mature, loving, easy-going and loves the natural world and the arts.
