| I became vegan after seeing the documentary "Eating" it was about the Rave diet. I have lost approximately 90 lbs over the years, my wife also lost almost as much. I really just avoid all animal products but occasionally will eat a coffee house treat that I really do not know the full Ingredient list. I am vegan mainly for health reasons but over time it has began to bother me how cruelly farm animals are treated. |

| I became widowed and retired at about the same time. I really did not have a plan or thought about this circumstance I find myself in. I have avoided eating animals for going on 15 years now. When I considered meeting new people, I found that I am not interested in building new friendships or bonding with people that do not share my thoughts and beliefs about plant-based eating. I am nearly 70, so why waste the effort. I have old friends who just think I'm weird, and have known me long enough to be accepting of my quirks, being vegan is just another one. When I thought about dating again, I decided they must be plant-based, vegan or vegetarian. My sweet wife was all of those at different times. I also wish to only date other widowed people, so it seems like I am asking for a lot. "Well, who doesn't harbour a Hallmark Christmas dream of a Winter Solstice lantern parade to end 2025 with!" |

| Just friends, pleasant company, an occasional movie night , going out to the few vegan restaurants around here. I am a long ways from ready for anything more than just pleasant company. |
