| Why I'm Vegan |
| I went from veggie to vegan over 25 years ago. The bottom line for me is that I think it is wrong to kill and enslave living beings to satisfy tastebuds. In the developed world I just don't think it can be justified. |
| More About Me |
| I am a creative person, trying (belatedly!) to pursue an art career having previously worked in communications for the Vegetarian Society and a Community Forest. I have a beautiful 12 year old son who is with me 60% of the week, and a curmudgeonly 12 year old dog. This pair have kept me sane as a single person for the last 8 years, but I'm now feeling the need to connect with someone closer to my age - and with similar values. Although I'm a long time vegan, I am not involved in any activism. apart from painting, I enjoy walking, reading (I'm drawn to literature with an existential perspective) and listening to music. My music taste is quite eclectic, but I like stuff with a funky groove, A touch of edginess and some big feelings. (Talking Heads has been a consistent favourite since I discovered them age 9). I should mention that I am an atheist.... |
