| Why I'm Vegan |
| I've loved animals all my life. I've been mostly vegetarian for 3 years. Then I started meditating more and became more sensitive to the energies around me. Suddenly I couldn't bring myself to eat foods that carried suffering and pain. I'm very happy about the change and have enjoyed learning to eat new ways. |

| I'm a classical pianist, teacher and avid gardener. Current project is gradually transitioning my garden to all California natives. I'm introverted - my ideal social event is a small gathering with interesting conversations - or even a class on something I'm interested in. When I'm not practicing or gardening, I could be working on my house, or taking my cat for a walk. Actually, we do rambling circles around the back yard, so I'm not sure that should be called a 'walk'. (I have two kitties.) I have an active meditation practice. My friends tell me I am direct, reliable, kind and patient. (You have to be patient to teach piano - it's hard to learn!) I read a lot - both fiction and nonfiction. I like to think I have a good sense of humor but I could be kidding myself... |
