| I gave up meat at the age of 15 as a result of compassion for animals. I then became vegan about 18 years ago when I realised that the dairy industry is an intrinsic part of the meat industry, and I really didn't want anything to die so that I could eat. The fact that a vegan diet is also really good for the environment and very healthy feels like a bonus, but is not my main motivation. |
