| Why I'm Vegan |
| I was vegetarian for the environment for much of my life, not being educated on how horrific the rest of the animal industry was, and being completely okay with the exploitation of non human animals. Thinking about how animals are treated and slaughtered, coupled with a deeper understanding of climate change/environmental degradation/how this exploitative world view is encouraged by our capitalist system, I realized that consuming animal products when it was really never necessary was one of the many ways I was contributing to this, and I went vegan. |
