| I became vegan in 2012 for the animals. I like the health benefits as well, but its compassion that drives me. |
| More About Me |
| Writing is a big part of what I do for a living, but describing myself is something else altogether. Veganism has become a big part of my life and often it's hard to find like-minded people. I like the challenge of making whole and healthy vegan meals that everyone enjoys (vegan or not). Cooking has become a significant hobby. Of course, conversation is always key and I am pretty good at seeing more than one side of an issue. Honesty and integrity are very, very important. I can also be pretty funny and a bit of a story teller. I try to keep things in perspective in dealing with the ups and downs of life. Sometimes I succeed and sometimes I fail (at least in the short term) I'm a good and reliable friend and support for my family and friends. Apart from love, my greatest passion is compassion. I also enjoy a fair bit of yoga, travel, spending time with my adult kids, and friends. I work maybe a bit too hard, but I could arrange to work less to spend time with the right person. I've spent many years raising my kids and working. I want to feel in love again and share the joy of intimate friendship. I'm looking for love and companionship. I don't care what your hobbies are, as long as one of them includes experiencing life with me. |

| It's important to me to be with someone who shares my vegan life style. I value honesty and integrity and a willingness to engage in even uncomfortable dialogues, and see those through to conclusion, whether or not we agree. Communication skills and desire are key as is a willingness to at least understand alternate view points. A little humour also goes a long way. |
