| Why I'm Vegetarian |
| I'm actually a vegan wanna be. At home I don't eat meat, fish, dairy, or eggs. In restaurants or other people's homes, I at least avoid meat. I changed to a mostly plant based diet slowly over the last two years. The turning point for me was volunteering at an animal farm sanctuary. Being a vegetarian/vegan is good for animals, the environment, our health, etc. |

| I have been blessed to enjoy all that life has to offer and haven't given up on finding someone special. Most people find me intelligent, hard-working, and fun. I enjoy conversing with most anyone and learning something new or relearning something old. I find travel to be a great way to get out of my comfort zone, experience new cultures, and meet interesting people. I have a soft spot for animals and volunteer with several animal rescue groups. I enjoy many types of activities ranging from hiking and walking; going to the theater (movies and live plays), museums, concerts, lectures, and trivia; playing board games; and volunteering (Hospice, SASHA - animal farm sanctuary, Veg Michigan, MotorCity Greyhound Rescue). I especially love to travel, mostly tours of foreign countries. I am also interested in saving our environment and planet, am constantly learning new ways to do this, and try to implement some of these techniques into my lifestyle. I have two rescued dogs. One is a retired racing greyhound named Jaxie. She is 12 years old and can be quite anxious and stubborn. She does a great job with Hospice pet visits. The other is a miniature pinscher mix named Selena who is 14 years old. She went bling four years ago and is almost deaf. These are my only two dependents - ha! It usually takes me time to let my guard down and trust a man I'm dating as I have been hurt before (hasn't everyone!), but once I do, I am devoted, affectionate, and faithful. I never dreamed I would be my age and still be single. Somehow I always thought I would find a mate by going about my normal activities. Obviously that hasn't happened, so it's time for more drastic measures. |

| I'm looking for someone who is honest, fun, responsible, adventurous, and faithful. Do you enjoy meeting new people, eating out, going to the theater, traveling, and volunteering? Can you find humor in most things, including yourself? If you like shopping for bargains, that's a real plus but not a requirement! Since I never married or had children and come from a small family (only one disabled brother), it's a bonus if you have family you are close to and willing to share! I appreciate men who are independent, good listeners, active, and willing to try new activities. I don't care much about sports but am willing to dust off my golf clubs. I'd love to find a caring and affectionate gentleman in whom I can confide and share my life. My ideal relationship would be with someone who is my soul mate and partner in life. We'd have many common interests and enjoy doing things together. We would agree on the most important things in life like morals and ethics, and mostly agree on religion and politics. Romance is great but not the most important thing in a relationship. |
