| Veggie Connection believes that my reason for being vegan is the single most important piece of info members want to know about me. Okay, members, listen up: I try to be non-violent in my life, and this includes avoiding cruelty to non-human animals and to the planet and to my body. Eating delicious plants rather than animals and products derived from them, something I hope you do as well, helps me accomplish that. |

| Hello, my groovy new boyfriend. Here is a bit about me: I am lucky to be in great health so I can enjoy a lot of fun activities in my life. I work part-time teaching through my local school district and also as a server at events through some catering companies, I volunteer in some political campaigns and community event and in helping distribute food to vulnerable people in Contra Costa County. I'm personally spoiled compared to so many in the world and in this country. Politics isn't uplifting, but for me, it's like the car crash you can't not look at. I'm beyond horrified by the genocide of Palestinians going on in full sight, thanks to an Israel that has run amok and is facilitated by money and weapons from the U.S. We need an immediate embargo on arms to Israel and a ceasefire. I stay connected to friends, neighbors, family, nature, exercise, cultural events, and political and community organizations. SOME OF MY LIKES (in reverse alphabetical order): Yoga, working out, travel, silliness, shows, scuba, stand-up paddle boarding, snorkel, preparing delectable food that doesn't hurt our bodies, our planet, or our animal buddies, pickleball, parties, the outré, organic vegetable gardening, opera, new adventures, museums, movies, kissing, kayaking, independent non-corporate media, happenings, hiking, helping others, flash mobs, doing things with friends, dancing (freestyle and partner), Burning Man, bicycle riding, ballet. SOME OF MY DON'T LIKES: Militarism, wicked police officers and DAs, cigarettes, corporate power and capitalism, watching lots of sports on t.v., loquacity, religious dogma, GMOs, consumerism, Republicans (no apologies or exceptions), ethnic cleansing in Gaza. OTHER INFO: I have many more likes than dislikes, and maybe that's one of the keys to being happy. I've made my fortune (hah!) through teaching school and doing some film and video production. I've lived mostly in California except for a few years in France and two in New York City. I've traveled in China, North Africa, Europe, Central America, Indonesia and am eager to get on the road again. I meditate, speak French and Spanish and can say Downward Facing Dog in Sanskrit, I give great massages and am socially and politically way liberal. I'm solvent, friendly, funny, playful, sharing, in good health, upbeat in spite of it all. My heart is open. |
