I'm definitely socially awkward, most probably on the autistic spectrum (self diagnosed).
I'm sober since September 22nd 2019, and intend on keeping it that way for the rest of my life.
I used to be a roadie as well as work at many festivals, you do the math...

I moved to Portugal a bit over a year ago. I'm currently still looking for a place to settle, so no fixed location at this

All I know is that it needs to be a warm place, I can't tolerate cold weather anymore.

I've been single for quite a while. My three cats and my dog mean the most to me at present and I have a small long-term circle of friends. I have finally admitted to myself that I do miss the Y chromosome and I have got room in my life for male company. I also took note of a talking-to from a friend who thinks I should stop being so lazy and DO something! I'm a fairly quiet person who definitely prefers countryside rambles to nightclubs. I'm not a girly girl and tottering around in high heels is just not me. Neither is being a social butterfly. I'm English, but had a fantastic childhood growing up in New Zealand and have lived there for several years since, gaining a Permanent Resident Visa. Broad taste in music - I pretty much like most things except modern jazz, opera, soul and rap, although there's always the odd exception that proves the rule. Long-term T.Rex fan, but more recently very much into Lord Of The Lost and Apulanta (I'm also a Finnophile!). Strange how the pastime that's the 2nd most popular use of the internet doesn't appear on here: genealogy. I've been researching for over 20 years - it keeps me out of mischief! I've found I'm distantly related to the singer, Sandie Shaw, the cricketer, Sir Jack Hobbs, the once world-famous Christian evangelist 'Gipsy' Rodney Smith, the children's author and broadcaster 'Romany of the BBC', the male half of the band Everything But the Girl, a long-ago Bishop of Sydney, Australia, one of the hanged Littleport Rioters and a two-time Mayor of Dover! Other interests also unhelpfully not included in the lists on here are dog-training, dog-walking and language-learning: currently Finnish and German.
